College

I've been in the USA now for just over a month. It's very weird to think about since it seems like just yesterday I started packing.
School is well under way and I am very excited about all of my classes! They are all amazing and I love my profs. It's so refreshing to have people care about you and pray for you on a regular basis... it sure doesn't seem like school to me. haha :)

Here is a picture of me with some of the friends I've made during the past three weeks!

Countdown

Last week I was in Schwäbisch Gmünd. That was a lot of fun. I got to see all my friends again and spend time with them which was really enjoyable. :)
It was so much fun being back "home". I felt like I belonged there and I cant really explain just how great it was to see all my friends again.

Then this past week I got to spend a lot of time with friends here in Grenzach. Also a very awesome time. Very very sad, but still good. :)

Yesterday evening I was with a good friend of mine. An incredible evening, lots of fun and a really nice memory to take with me. I just wish every friday could be like that... :(

I hate goodbyes.
I really do.

Thursday, June 26

I had to say goodbye to someone today. Someone who has been very important to me for a while now. It was hard. Very hard. After we said our goodbye and I turned and walked away it felt like my heart had sunk to the ground and I was dragging it along behind me. Scraping the sidewalk and causing aching incurable pain...

With each goodbye I have to say, it gets harder and harder and I feel more and more pain.

-Joshua 1:9-
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Sunday School Camp

This past weekend from May 30 - June 1 we had my churchs annual Sunday School Camp. Since I am one of the regular Sunday School teachers I was there of course helping out. The theme was Romans and one of the evenings we had a Roman Dinner and we all got dressed up and in this particular pictures Heather is pouring the left over chocolate fondue we had into my mouth! It was soo amazingly good... yummm! :)

Two girls accepted Christ that weekend and it was really an amazing experience. Seeing two young lives commited to serving Jesus.

On Sunday the church congregation came up to the place we were staying at for a bbq. Ofcourse the men all went right to grilling and doing what they do best. :) The fellowship during lunch and for dessert and all was great! Love my church.

Game Night at Joshs House

Friday Night we all gathered at Joshs House for some food and fun. We had baked potatoes with topings and we played Dutch Blitz and Catch Phrase. It was so much fun!! :)

Subway - Goodbye

In honor of the Shirey Family leaving to the States for sixth months our families went out to lunch at Subway. :) They are some of the coolest peoples ever!

Have a great flight to the USA Heather!! I cant wait to see you again at Thanksgiving! :)

The Start Of New Things

In two and a half months I leave for the United States to start College in Lancaster, PA. In light of this new adventure I have created this blog so that people can enjoy and experience with me the things I will go through.

I dont really know what to write at the moment just that I am excited about moving and learning new things. :)
